One Young Hull

The ONE HULL Partnership supports many organisations, groups and projects across the City aimed at improving education, learning and employment opportunities for young people.

Initiatives such as City Works, Digital Learning, Top 700 - aimed at reducing absenteeism and increasing attendance at schools - Restorative Practice, and more recently the ONE HULL Tag Team employment and skills project, have all been innovative and exciting schemes.

There is now a ONE HULL supported website for children and young people aimed at creating a one-stop surfing shop.

www.cluedupinhull.com has been designed by local youngsters and hosts information on how to be healthy, enjoy life, stay safe, achieve, get involved - and even advice about life and money.

The website is split into two sections to target different ages; one for children aged 12 and under, and one for those aged over 13 years old. Each area addresses different issues that children and young people may face, and offers advice on all sorts of subjects, including sensitive topics that they may find hard to talk about.

Another dedicated group supported by the Partnership is Hull Youth Enterprise, which was set up to influence major partners in supporting the City’s enterprising young people by taking a proactive and supporting role within the Local Strategic Partnership (ONE HULL).

It is committed to the shared vision of a growing economy for the benefit of young people and facilitating opportunities to widen the entrepreneurial spirit in the City. Its Patron is the Rt. Hon Alan Johnson MP for Hull West and Hessle.

There are many, many other dedicated workers and key organisations and community groups across Hull playing a vital role too. The Warren, Connexions, Hull City Council’s Children’s Fund, and RAPP are just a few. These contacts - and many more - can all be found under in the children and young people’s learning contacts area on this website (please click here).
