Do you think investing in a City's cultural heritage can help boost its regeneration?
Kingston-upon-Hull is divided into seven key areas, each with its own Hull City Council Area Committee. A local Area Partnership has been established in each of these areas.
The seven Area Partnerships play an important role in helping to sustain the aims of the Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement for delivery at a neighbourhood level. Indeed, by actively engaging with key partners and residents, Area Partnerships can evaluate community assets and local needs at the heart of the community, identify priorities, and ensure service standards are met.
Working within ONE HULL, Area Partnerships are developing Action Plans to focus and address key issues or concerns in each area; this will have a major impact in helping to tackle key issues and deliver a good quality of life for local people.
To promote community participation and provide feedback, the teams aim to host an annual ONE HULL Area Conference for each of the seven areas, while providing a mechanism and forum to allow local people to influence the decision-making process.
