ONE HULL VCS Forum
The ONE HULL VCS Forum aims to ensure voluntary and community groups playing a key role in improving the quality of life for local people are represented objectively in the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) ONE HULL.
The role of the Forum is to support effective, inclusive and accountable sector involvement in the work of ONE HULL and the Area Partnerships across the City.
This includes:
- The selection, training and support of voluntary and community sector representatives;
- Providing relevant and accessible information about the work of ONE HULL and key strategic partners and highlighting opportunities for involvement;
- Contributing to and co-ordinating meaningful consultation with the voluntary and community sector;
- Developing professional and effective working relationships between the voluntary and community sector and partners in the public and private sectors;
- Identifying opportunities where the voluntary and community sector can actively contribute to the planning, design and delivery of local services;
- Facilitating information and training events which bring together all partners to share skills, knowledge and experience and highlight the benefits of partnership working with the voluntary and community sector; and
- Providing pro-active links to other voluntary and community sector infrastructure organisations on a local and regional level.
The Forum will work alongside the ONE HULL Business Forum, which has been recognised nationally as an example of best practice.
