ONE HULL Business Forum

ONE HULL funds the ONE HULL Business Forum(HBF), which provides a fantastic vehicle for the business sector to be an active partner in the Local Strategic Partnership. Indeed, the development of the Forum has been recognised nationally as an example of best practice for successfully engaging with the private sector. It is in the interests of everyone to ensure the ambitious Vision to concentrate on three key themes, Economy and Jobs, Education and Skills, and Quality of Life, are realised.

ONE HULL has strong links with the HBF, which has been utilised as a consultation mechanism, and, where appropriate, encouraging its associates to become contributory members of a wider partnership. ONE Hull values the HBF’s link to the Chamber of Commerce and Federation of Small Businesses.

It is regarded by the Partnership as an important and credible communication channel to inform companies and enterprises large and small of LSP developments and progress. It also appreciates the supporting role the HBF will play in supporting Delivery Board members from the Business Sector. Indeed, HBF also leads on identifying and supporting private sector members across the Partnership.

Membership of HBF is free of charge to any local business.  The Forum is run by business for business and is managed by 15 business people elected from the membership. The Forum can provide regular news and information on Hull’s economy and regeneration and holds regular forums, which focus on key local issues such as transport, economy and education.  There are real opportunities to influence key local partnerships through the business representatives.
